Children's Book Week May 4-10, 2015

Children's Book Week, May 4th – 9th 2015, is the national celebration of books and reading for youth. Established in 1919, it is the longest-running literacy initiative in the country.

This year, Robey Memorial Library will observe Children’s Book Week with the One Week – One Book Reading Challenge. Read one

book of your choice during the week, stop in the library and add your book to our totals by putting a butterfly on our reading board.

Participants will receive a special “Bookworm Treat” when they add to our board and on Friday, May 8th from 4-6pm stop in to enjoy ice cream served by the Dairy Princess, Katie Kerndt. Also throughout the week, materials will be available for patrons to make a unique book mark to keep.

Children’s Book Week is being generously sponsored by the Allamakee County Dairy Board.

All are encouraged to participate!
