Robey Memorial Library to Participate in Big Library Read Program

Program makes popular eBook available to all patrons without wait lists or holds

Robey Memorial Library will be taking part in the Big Library Read program. Library card holders will be able to borrow and read or listen to the  eBook or audiobook of American Sniper by Chris Kyle, starting midday Tuesday, March 17 and concluding at midnight on March 31 (U.S. EST) by visiting  http://bridges.lib.overdrive.com.

From 1999 to 2009, U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle recorded the most career sniper kills in United States military history. Kyle, who was tragically killed in 2013, writes honestly about the pain of war—including the deaths of two close SEAL teammates—and in moving first-person passages throughout, his wife, Taya, speaks openly about the strains of war on their family, as well as on Chris. Gripping and unforgettable, Kyle’s masterful account of his extraordinary battlefield experiences ranks as one of the great war memoirs of all time.

Big Library Read is an opportunity for those with a valid library card to read the same digital title at the same time without any wait lists or holds. It’s a worldwide digital version of a local book club!
