RML Will Close to Move to Temporary Location

Robey Memorial Library will be closed on Friday, December 6 and Saturday, December 7 to move library services to its temporary location in the basement of the addition (entrance is off of 4th Street). This move will allow patrons to use library services (collection, public access computers, wireless internet connection, etc.) while construction crews renovate the current library building.

During the approximately six weeks in the basement:

  • Robey Memorial Library will have a small meeting space available but the current Community Room will NOT be available.
  • We will have some public access computers & will have wireless internet connection available.
  • We will have current magazines & newspapers available for reading in-library.
  • All items will be available for checkout & browsing.
  • Most of the collection will be shelved upstairs. Staff will be ready & willing to assist patrons with limited mobility.
  • We will have very limited seating and little or no table space.

Some things to remember:Moving

  • Construction noise!  In general, the library will be quieter after 5 pm.
  • Parking will continue to be limited until at least the re-opening of the entire building. We apologize for the inconvenience.
  • Book collections will be shuffled to accommodate for construction.  Staff will be happy to help you find what you are looking for!
  • You are welcome to call to renew items over the phone.
  • We will continue to offer Story Time on Tuesdays from 10:30-11 am & Tech Tutor on Thursdays from 10 am-12 pm.

Thank you for your patience during the next few months!
