September is Library Card Signup Month!

A library card is a super card! Do you have one?

September is Library Card Sign-up Month, a time when the Robey Memorial Library (RML) joins with the American Library Association to highlight the supportive role libraries and librarians play in transforming lives and communities through education. Studies show that children who are read to in the home and who use the library perform better in school and are more likely to continue to utilize libraries as a source of lifelong learning. Resources at RML are available to anyone who has a library card. A new patron signing up for a library card in September will receive a special treat.

Today's libraries aren't only a place of quiet study, but also creative and engaging community centers, RML offers access to a variety of print and digital resources that can be accessed in person or online.

It gives you access to a relaxing and rejuvenating place to go and interact with your community. And it gives you all of this for free."
