Author Event: Kealy Connor Lonning

Robey Memorial Library is hosting author Kealy Connor Lonning on Saturday, June 1 at 10:30am for an Author Event.

Kealy Connor Lonning was raised in Waukon, Iowa, by amazing, loving parents and surrounded by relatives. She and her two younger sisters had an awesome childhood. Kealy got her BA in Elementary/Early Childhood Education at UNI and her MA in Education/Reading at UW-La Crosse. She married her hometown friend and classmate, Greg Lonning. Kealy and Greg lived in Wisconsin and Iowa, raising their six children! She was a teacher for 32 years.

In 2015, while their oldest son was grown and their older daughter was in college, the rest of the family moved to New Jersey, near New York City, so their boy/girl twins could chase their dreams. Kealy and Greg knew their two adopted, biracial daughters, would also benefit from the diversity in New Jersey. Kealy reached a 30-year dream of becoming an author, when her first children's book was published in December 2018!

Kealy Connor Lonning will read her first published children’s book OUR WONDERFUL YOU—a heartfelt, rhyming story about their oldest son, growing up, and following his dreams. Kealy is inspired by her children, and plans to write books about each of them.

Our Wonderful YouCopies of Kealy Connor Lonning’s book will be available for purchase at the event. OUR WONDERFUL YOU is also available on Amazon in paperback or Kindle version.
