Reading is more fun together! RML is offering book club options for kids and teens this summer.
Passport to Reading
Passport to Reading is a book club for kids grades 4th through 6th completed. Join us as we read through Choose Your Own Adventure series and complete a related activity. Passport to Reading meets from 1-2pm on Mondays, June 13 & 27; July 11 & 25; and August 8 & 22. Registration is encouraged but not required.
Teen Summer Book Club
RML invites teens in grades 7 to 12 to Teen Summer Book Club in June, July, and August.
June’s book selection is Ground Zero by Alan Gratz. Join us Wednesdays, June 8 and June 22 from 10:30-11:30am for snacks and discussion! Register for June book club by May 17 to receive a free copy of the book to keep—donated by the Robey Memorial Library Foundation (see below). Miss the deadline?? August’s book club meets on Wednesdays, August 3 and 17 from 10:30-11:30am for snacks and discussion of Punching the air by Ibi Zoboi and Yuseff Salaam. NOTE: Registered teens who receive a book and do not participate in the month's book club will be ineligible to receive the next month's book. The titles will be available for check-out.
Classic Book Club for Teens
Classic Book Club for Teens is reading and discussing two classic titles Animal farm by George Orwell and Study in scarlet by Arthur Conan Doyle. Classic Book Club meets at 5pm on Mondays, June 20; July 18; and August 22. Register book club by Tuesday, May 17 to receive a copy of the first book provided by the Robey Memorial Library Foundation. Miss the registration deadline?
