Equipment Policy
Any library patron 18 years of age or older who has a library card for at least one month, who has no overdue library materials or unpaid fines, who can demonstrate that he/she knows how to operate the equipment may borrow any circulating audiovisual (AV)/electronic equipment.
AV/electronic equipment is reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
Audiovisual equipment may be borrowed for 48 hours. There is a $5.00 nonrefundable fee due when equipment is picked up. Equipment must be returned to the front desk the next day the library is open. Upon return, front desk staff will inspect the equipment for damage. There is a $1.00 per day late charge for the late return of AV equipment.
MP3 players and e-readers may be checked out for two weeks and are nonrenewable. The non-refundable $5.00 fee is waived for this equipment. Electronic equipment must be returned to the front desk. Upon return, front desk staff will inspect the equipment for damage. There is a $1.00 per day late charge for the late return of electronic equipment.
If AV/electronic equipment is lost or damaged through patron’s actions or neglect the patron is responsible for the full cost of repair or replacement.
Library patron must sign a copy of this policy to indicate their understanding at the time of AV/electronic equipment checkout.
