Reading is more fun together! RML is offering book club options for kids and teens this summer.

Passport to Reading

Passport to Reading is a book club for kids grades 4th through 6th completed.  Join us as we read through selected titles and complete a related activities. Passport to Reading meets from 10:30-11:30am on Thursdays, June 8; July 6; and August 3. Registration is encouraged but not required.

Book selections:

  • June: The BFG by Roald Dahl
  • July: Other words for home by Jasmine Warga
  • August: Out of my mind by Sharon Draper

Teen Summer Book Club

RML invites teens in grades 7 to 12 to Teen Summer Book Club in June, July, and August.

Join us Wednesday, June 14 from 10:30-11:30am for snacks and discussion!  Pre-register for June book club by May 10 to receive a free copy of the book to keep—donated by the Robey Memorial Library Foundation (see below). NOTE: Registered teens who receive a book and do not participate in the month's book club will be ineligible to receive the next month's book.  The titles will be available for check-out.

 

Classic Book Club for Teens

Classic Book Club for Teens is reading and discussing And then there were none by Agatha Christie; Man's search for meaning by Viktor Frankl; and Around the world in 80 days by Jules Verne.

Classic Book Club meets at 5pm on Mondays, June 12; July 10; and August 14. Pre-register book club by Tuesday, May 8 to receive a copy of And then there were none by Agatha Christie provided by the Robey Memorial Library Foundation. Miss the registration deadline?
