As part of its Live & Learn: Enriching Lives Through Monthly Learning Series, Robey Memorial Library (RML) invites the community to an Old-Fashioned Movie Night on Thursday, April 30 at 5:30 p.m. The free event will take place in the lower-level Community Room.

boys town.pngThis month’s featured film is Boys Town, a powerful, fact-based story of Father Edward J. Flanagan, a dedicated priest who established a Nebraska community for orphaned and troubled boys. Built on his belief that “there’s no such thing as a bad boy,” the story follows his mission as it is challenged by a defiant street youth who ultimately learns the value of compassion and discipline.

The film stars Spencer Tracy in an Academy Award-winning performance—earning him his second consecutive Oscar—and was also nominated for Best Picture.

Attendees are welcome to bring their own movie snacks and enjoy this classic film in a relaxed, community setting.
