Grab some popcorn and enjoy a month of beloved musicals at Robey Memorial Library during Musical Movie Month this August. Community members of all ages are invited to attend free movie showings every Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the library.
The August lineup includes a variety of family-friendly favorites:
- Monday, August 3: The Prince of Egypt (Rated PG)
This animated retelling of the Book of Exodus follows Egyptian Prince Moses as he discovers his true heritage and embarks on a courageous journey to free the Hebrew people from slavery. - Monday, August 10: The Wizard of Oz (Rated G)
Young Dorothy Gale and her dog Toto are swept away by a tornado from their Kansas farm to the magical Land of Oz, where they join three unforgettable companions on a journey to meet the mysterious Wizard. - Monday, August 17: Trolls (Rated PG)
When the Bergens invade Troll Village, the ever-optimistic Poppy and the reluctant Branch set off on an exciting adventure to rescue their friends. - Monday, August 24: The Little Mermaid (2023) (Rated PG)
Ariel, a curious young mermaid, dreams of experiencing life on land. Against her father's wishes, she ventures to the surface, setting off a magical adventure of self-discovery.
Musical Movie Month is free and open to the public, making it a fun way for families, friends, and movie lovers to spend an afternoon together enjoying timeless songs, memorable characters, and inspiring stories.
