Plant a Seed Read at RML!

Get ready for a summer full of creativity, discovery, and reading fun at Robey Memorial Library! This year’s “Plant a Seed, Read” summer lineup features hands-on activities, crafts, reading challenges, and special guest programs for all ages.

Summer Explorers

Selected Wednesdays in July | 10:30–11:30 a.m.

  • July 1 – Native Plants & Seed Bombs
    Featuring Sara Berges, Soil Conservationist with the USDA.
  • July 15 – Paper Quilling Art
    Design a unique work of art by coiling colorful paper strips.
  • July 29 – Monarch Program
    Presented by Lynne Campbell, AmeriCorps.

Make & Take Craft Projects

Wednesdays in July | 1:30–3:00 p.m.

  • July 1 – Shoe Birdhouse
  • July 8 – Grass Hair Planters
  • July 15 – Painting with Cardboard
  • July 22 – Beaded Forever Plant
  • July 29 – Butterfly Mobile

4-Week Reading Challenge During July

Readers of all ages are encouraged to participate for chances to earn prizes, books, and even fine forgiveness.

LEGO Club

Tuesdays in June & July | 10:30–11:30 a.m.

Students ages 7–17 are invited to join weekly build challenges and mini-figure trading. LEGO bricks are provided, but participants may also bring their own.
