Robey Memorial Library is seeking members for its Teen Advisory Board (TAB), a group that gives local teens an opportunity to have a voice in the library and help shape programs, services, and collections for their peers.
The Teen Advisory Board is open to students in 7th through 12th grade and meets once a month—September through May—for approximately one hour. Members are encouraged to share their ideas and help make the library a welcoming and engaging place for teens and young adults.
TAB members may:
- Provide input and ideas for teen programming
- Recommend books and other materials for the library to purchase
- Promote the use of the library among teens
- Share information and address topics related to teens and young adults
- Help recruit other teen patrons to the library
- Read and review books
Serving on the Teen Advisory Board is a great way for teens to make their voices heard, develop leadership skills, contribute to their community, and help shape the library's future.
Teens interested in becoming a member of the Teen Advisory Board should complete an application available on our website or from the library Front Desk. Teens will be informed of upcoming meetings.
