RML celebrates Children’s Book Week (CBW) from May 3 to May 8 with the theme Reading is a Superpower! Established in 1919, CBW is the longest-running national celebration of books for young people and the joy of reading with over 1,000 schools, libraries, and bookstores in all 50 states celebrating annually.
RML is celebrating CBW with a Book Illustration Contest—all entries must be returned by May 1st at 4pm. A prize will be awarded by drawing for each age category: preschool; grades Kindergarten through 4; grades 5 through 8; high school; and adult. Stop into the library during May to view the entries!
We always love to see you reading! Share your reading superpowers on social media with the tag #BookWeekSuperpower. Be sure to tag Robey Memorial Library as well: Twitter-@WaukonLibrary; Instagram-@robey_memorial_library; and Facebook-@WaukonLibrary.
